Your Horse and Water

Your Horse's Drinking Water
Horses normally drink about 5-10 gallons of water per day. However, there are normal variations! For example, a
1,200 pound horse might drink as little as 4 gallons a day, or as much as 8 gallons, while a 1,500-pound horse can
drink between 5 and 10 gallons and still be normal. Like any creature, their water consumption increases with
hotter temperatures, and seasons.
Polidipsia
Abnormally increased water consumption.
